For Grandpa

Dear Grandpa,

Mommy said that one of your favorite things to eat is salmon. Today, I helped her make our dinner and we thought of you. This blog is for you!

First, let me explain why I'm wearing a Santa costume. I am not quite over Christmas yet and Nina and I were playing dress-up and I chose this costume. :)

Okay, so let's get on with the salmon. All you need is an oven, aluminum foil, a baking tray, salmon, garlic, onion, vegetables you like, lemon, salt, pepper and olive oil. Mommy says you can even put white wine on it.

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Put your salmon on a piece of aluminum foil, big enough to be folded and secure the liquid. Season it with salt and pepper on both sides.

Put vegetables you like on top. We thinly sliced summer squash, zucchini and red bell pepper.

Then we added some garlic, onion and lemon slices on top.

Finally, we drizzled some olive oil on top. We put salt again on the vegetables.

We sealed it like a sandwich then and baked it in the oven for 15 minutes.

When you take it out of the oven, Mommy says you have to be careful because it's really hot.

There goes my plate! I finished everything plus Mommy made mussels too. It was my first time to taste mussels and I liked it. Nina - not so much.

Hope you try it Grandpa! Think of me when you make it!
